
AIMPOINT PHOTO CONTEST
We want your best photos and if you are among the winners, well publish your winning photo here on our website and well send you a very nice prize.
We want to make our first photo contest as simple as possible, so here it goes. For our first contest, the category of photos we are interested in is hunting action photos. (No kill shots please).What we are looking for, are pictures showing Aimpoint sights in action. Our only requirement is that at least one Aimpoint sight shall be mounted on a weapon and visible on the picture. The contest ends on June 15th 2004.
There are 2 ways to submit your photo:
1. A print: send us an unmounted 5 x 7 or 8 x 10 (10 cm x 15cm or 20cm x 30cm) color or black-and-white print and affix to the back of each submission the following information:
- Your name, address and a daytime telephone number.
- This signed statement: "I certify that I have read the rules and agree to abide by them."
- Enclose as well a short story telling us about your picture
2. A digital file: In the first part of the photo contest, digital files e-mailed to us should not be bigger than 1 megabyte. (If you are amount the 10 finalists, we will require your digital files to be not less than 300 dpi at 5 x 7 or four megabytes). Use the form below. The following information has to be included in your e-mail:
- As subject write: Photo contest
- Your name, address and a daytime telephone number.
- Enclose as well a short story telling us about your picture.
The prizes 10 finalists will be selected by Aimpoints jury and finalists will be notified by June 30th, 2004. At that time, the finalists will be asked to submit an original slide, negative, or digital file. (Digital files should be not less than 300 dpi at 5 x 7 or four megabytes.) Those materials will be returned.
We will award 3 winners. The winner of the 1st place will be able to choose one Aimpoint red dot sight. The second prize is an Aimpoint knife The third prize an Aimpoint shirt.
Any taxes on the prizes will be the winners responsibility. Winners must sign an affidavit and license in order to receive their prizes. We will announce the winners in August and publish the winning photographs on our website.
Now for the rest of the rules. The contest is open to anyone age 18 and over except Aimpoint employees, their immediate families (children, siblings, parents and spouses), and others living in their households (whether related or not). No purchase is necessary. Professional photographers (meaning people who earn more than half of their annual income as photographers) are also ineligible. Please submit no more than one print. Entries must have been shot by and owned by the entrant. Images previously published or pending publication are not eligible. By entering the contest, you agree that Aimpoint may publish your photograph and name and may use both in Aimpoints future advertising. We will not be responsible for lost, delayed, damaged, misdirected or illegible submissions, and photographs will not be returned. Because of the large number of submissions, we will not be able to acknowledge receipt of your entry or entries. Please dont e-mail or call us about submissions.
All entries must be postmarked or in the e-mail box by June 15th, 2004.

Please note that the sender is paying for the postal charges / freight costs when sending the submission to Aimpoint. Submissions arriving by overnight services will not be accepted if the sender has not paid for the freight.
The contest is void where prohibited or restricted by law.
