Shotgun shooting training with GAIM

Many would say that shotgun shooting is a challenge

A lot of training is required if you want to become a good shotgun shooter. If you don’t have a lot of time to spend on the shooting range, the GAIM VR hunting and shooting simulator gives you the opportunity to train your shooting to get mind and muscle ready for reality. It gives you access to hunting grounds or the sporting clay course no matter where you are. For your sessions in GAIM to translate into skills with your shotgun GAIM has tried to make it as close to reality as possible. The GAIM rifle is weighted. With voice command you can call for the clays. The calculations of the shotgun swarm have been finetuned to make sure the hits are accurate and corresponds to real ballistics.

Realistic scenarios

In the Clay Pigeon scenario, you can control everything yourself, on a realistic clay pigeon course just before dawn. You can choose speed and size of the clays and what towers to activate. You can also move between stands and get the opportunity to shoot at different angles. The Olympic Skeet and Trap modules are two competitive scenarios. You shoot a full series of shots from left to right. It can be a competition between friends or just a challenge where you try to beat your own high score.

For those who prefer hunting GAIM offers both duck and pheasant modules. With the High Pheasants scenario, you get to practice on plenty of pheasants that fly towards you on different heights. There is also a waterfowl scenario included in GAIM Compact, with a lifelike mallard duck hunt.

With the realistic details and the possibility to analyze your barrel movement you can finetune your technique. Practice improves performance when it counts.

The benefits of using a red dot sight

In the GAIM shotgun scenarios you use an Aimpoint Micro S-1 that was designed especially for use on shotguns. It helps to improve your shooting when mounted on the barrel of your shotgun. You can use the red dot to pick up your target, follow it through and pull of the shot once you are in front of it. It gives you a fast target acquisition on a small game hunt or on the sporting clay course.
