Aimpoint launches ACRO C-1™ at IWA 2019
MALMÖ, Sweden – Aimpoint, the originator and worldwide leader in red dot sighting technology, is proud to introduce the Acro C-1™ sight to the commercial market at the IWA Outdoor Classics in Nuremberg, Germany. This new compact sight design was developed primarily for use on handguns while offering broad applications for other firearms as well. After the launch of the Acro P-1 during summer 2018, the Acro C-1 sight is the newest addition to the Acro series.
The Acro C-1 was built to withstand environmental and temperature extremes and tested to a minimum of 20,000 rounds of .40 S&W caliber ammunition. This sight is designed around a fully enclosed optical channel that completely protects the signal between the emitter and the lens. This ensures that rain, dust, mud, and sand cannot disrupt the operation of the sight. The electronic components and battery are also completely sealed and protected within the anodized aluminum alloy housing, making the sight completely submersible to 5 meters. The Acro C-1 is compatible with night vision devices.
“The Acro C-1 is the solution for hunting in harsh conditions.,” said President of Aimpoint AB, Lennart Ljungfelt. “This new sight was originally designed for pistols, and now provides a compact and ultralow profile option for all shooting platforms.
This new sight mounts directly to optic-ready pistols utilizing a one-piece adapter plate. It can also be mounted on weaver/picatinny rails with a quick detachable mount available in various optical-axis heights. Several adapter plates are already available, including a plate for Micro mount interface, allowing compatibility with all Micro sights mounting solutions.
The Acro C-1 features a 3.5 MOA red dot reticle and digital intensity adjustment switches than can be manipulated while wearing gloves. The battery can be changed without removing the sight from the firearm or loss of zero. A single CR1225 battery provides over one year of continuous operation and is compatible with night vision devices.
